Heather Parry is an English nomad, who, after a few years in the glorious British city of Manchester, decided to move to Canada, Australia, then back to Canada again, then to Panama. She’s a self-described travel addict and an unlikely foodie, coming from a Yorkshire background that mainly centred around meat-and-two-veg dinners and a very fussy childhood diet that didn’t even include pasta until she was 18. The decision to become vegetarian came to Heather one Sunday afternoon over a couple of pints of cider when she and her two flatmates all decided to give it a go. Three years later she’s a strict vegan, as is her Ukrainian it-isn’t-a-meal-if-it-hasn’t-got-cheese-or-vodka partner, and she can’t imagine ever going back. She’s healthier, happier and fitter than she’s ever been and hopes that The Everyday Veggie can help others find their own health and happiness!
Along with cooking and blogging, Heather enjoys Bikram yoga, surfing, snowboarding, dressing up, getting a bit obsessed with books and fostering rescue cats. She also loves Studio Ghibli and would like to be Totoro when she grows up.
